Hi, I'm Mat. I partner with artists and organizations to shape and refine their audio. I've owned Mobtown Studios since 2006.

My clients and project partners include HBO, ESPN, Warner Bros. Records, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, 2k Games, The National Symphony Orchestra, Ice Cube, and Future Islands.

As an engineer and editor, I am efficient, organized, and detail-oriented. I am an effective communicator and I don’t shy away from rapid deadlines. I have the flexibility to work collaboratively or independently, as the project requires. I find great satisfaction in mixing, editing, and restoring audio and I geek out on my tools.

As a producer and studio owner, I commit to executing the artist's vision while contributing creative glue and polish as needed, drawing from my love of a wide variety of musical genres. I put performers at ease so they can do their best work while firmly guiding the project forward to ensure the best end product.

As a professional, I'm committed to standing behind work I've done and drawing people who have worked with me into a community. Feel free to reach out and I'd be happy to introduce you to any of my delighted clients.

Mat is a truly inspiring artist, I would work with him anytime." - Mark degli Antoni (David Byrne / John Zorn / Soul Coughing)

"Working with Mat was everything I could have hoped for. Not only is he a great engineer with a fantastic ear, he's also incredibly personable, kind, and unfathomably generous. We're still in contact with him months after our session ended, and we cannot wait to work with him again." - Serena Miller (Composer)

"Mat has been doing excellent freelance work for Pearson Education. We have needed some very quick turnaround times for our voiceover edits and Mat has consistently proved himself capable of work that comes back quickly and sounds great.
