Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Mobtown Studios, LLC, doing business as Mat Leffler-Schulman Mastering ("MLS Mastering"), handles information collected through matlefflerschulman.com. Short version: we collect what we need to master your record and get paid, and we don't sell it to anyone. We have enough to do already.

What we collect

When you submit the intake form, we collect your name, email, phone number, role, project details, and anything else you choose to include. If you upload audio, we receive those files. If you join the mailing list, we collect your email address. When you pay an invoice, our payment and invoicing providers process your billing information; we don't store card numbers.

Like most websites, our site and its hosting provider automatically collect basic technical information such as browser type, device, and pages visited, which we use to understand how the site is used.

Information saved in your browser

To save you some typing, the intake form remembers a few basic details (such as your name, email, and phone number) in your own browser for your next visit. This stays on your device and isn't sent to us until you submit the form. You can clear it anytime by clearing your browser's site data.

How we use it

To communicate about your project, deliver your masters, send invoices, and occasionally send news if you've signed up for it. We also use basic site analytics to understand how people find us.

Who else handles it

We rely on a few trusted services to run the studio, including Squarespace (website, forms, and mailing list), Samply (file uploads), QuickBooks (invoicing and payments), and third-party services for file delivery and storage. Each has its own privacy policy. We don't sell, rent, or trade your information. That would not be our jam.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site, such as which pages are visited and how people arrive. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information, which is reported to us in aggregate. We also use Google reCAPTCHA to block spam on our mailing list signup. You can manage your cookie choices using the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of our site, and learn more about how Google uses this information at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. To opt out of Google Analytics entirely, you can install Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Your unreleased music

Audio you send us is handled as described in our Terms & Conditions: confidential until you release it.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the mailing list using the link in any email. To see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, email mat@lefflerschulman.com. Some records, such as invoices, may need to be kept for tax and accounting purposes.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
